Lyme Disease in Canada

This report summarizes the 2018 data on the vectors that transmit West Nile virus (WNV), eastern
equine encephalitis virus (EEEV) and Lyme disease in Ontario. The intended audience for this report is
public health unit (PHU) staff working in, or with, the vector-borne disease programs.
Out of scope for this report are human data on these diseases; this information will be made available
through Public Health Ontario’s Reportable Disease Trends in Ontario interactive tool and is also
available to Ontario’s PHUs via the Infectious Diseases Query tool.
