Abstract | Ehrlichia minasensis, a pathogen of cattle in Brazil, was detected in genomic DNA of a female Dermacentor albipictus feeding on a moose (Alces alces) in west-central Saskatchewan, Canada. This bacterium has not previously been confirmed in ticks in Canada. It is unknown whether moose are reservoirs for E. minasensis. |
